  • Did you know that in the event of a house fire, you have barely 1 minute to save your life?!
Depending on the concentration of the smoke in the air, smoke poisoning causes loss of consciousness after 3 breaths, and death after 10 breaths. The average breathing rate is 12-20 per minute! The temperature sensor approx. it will notify you within a minute if there is a problem. It senses the heat of the fire and warns the occupants in time - with a sound - so that it is possible to leave the burning apartment safely. This can be a lifesaver, especially at night.

The most important thing to keep in mind in the event of a fire is personal safety and the preservation of life. In the event of a fire, save your life, not your belongings! Call the fire brigade immediately on the emergency number 105, which can be called from Hungary.

Based on 2019 statistics, apartment fires occurred in the following areas
     - Fires with an area of less than 1 square meter occurred in 15% of cases
     - 61% between 1-10 square meters
     - 21% between 10-100 square meters
     - Only 3% of fires exceed 100 square meters.
     - Based on the statistics, it is clear that small-scale fires are the most common cases.

What area does the heat sensor detect?
The sensor detects within a radius of 5 meters from the center of the placement, up to a maximum height of 7.5 meters. When placing several sensors, make sure that the detection areas overlap!

    Important considerations for placement
The heat sensor can be placed in any interior room except the bathroom. Primarily recommended for dormitories. The device can be combined with a smoke detector or a carbon monoxide detector, or the devices can be connected to a network. The temperature detector is not suitable for outdoor use.

Where can't the fire alarm be placed?
In the bathroom due to high humidity and steam
It is not recommended to place the sensor in rooms with a high concentration of airborne dust, as an excessive amount of dust may interfere with the device. The device must be covered for the duration of work involving a lot of dust, make sure to remove the cover after the work is finished.
A distance of at least 90 cm must also be left for air conditioners, air ducts, and ceiling fans.
It is important to avoid installing the device in drafty places!

Where and how to install the heat sensor?

Placement in the case of a peaked roof
With a peaked roof, the sensor should be at least 15 and at most 30 cm lower than the highest point in the room. Keep a distance of 50 cm from walls, beams and lamps due to their electromagnetic fields.

In case of placement on the side wall
If the sensors are placed on a wall, the top of the sensor should be between 15 and 30 cm from the ceiling and at least 50 cm from another wall.

If several devices are connected to a network, the distance between the sensors can be a maximum of 5 meters.

Always follow the installation instructions supplied with the smoke detector!
